Seafood Lumpia

INGREDIENTS

1 kg squid, cleaned and ink
sac removed, sliced into
rings
¼ kg shrimp, shelled and
de-veined
1 carrot, minced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten
¼ cup all purpose flour
15 lumpia wrappers, cut into
2 pieces
cooking oil for frying
tomato or banana catsup

PROCEDURE

  1. Combine squid and shrimp on a food processor or a blender jar. Process until roughly chopped. Transfer to a bowl.
  2. Combine prepared seafood with carrots, bell pepper, celery, garlic and onion.
  3. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add egg and flour to bind all the ingredients. Scoop 2-3 tbsp of the mixture onto a lumpia wrapper. Roll into a log, similar to a lumpiang shanghai.
  5. Heat oil. Fry prepared seafood rolls until golden brown and crispy. Transfer on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve with catsup on the side.
